Prison food is generally edible. They have their moments when they entirely blow a good idea. Last week’s baked ziti was so gluey it took a minute and a half to come lose from an upside down tray. We ate the spinach and the bread and went back to our housing unite to make pizza.
On occasion, there may be a short supply of something because the food service workers stole a lot of it. You can generally find someone who is selling something stolen from the chow hall. Peppers and large white onions sell for $2.00 each. Pork and roast beef go for $10 for around 5 to 7 pounds. Flour, potatoes, and spices are also around. Parmesan cheese is popular. All for a price.
Well, these are just some of the highlights of life here at camp chuckle nuts.
Hope you are well and apologies for any redundant news I’ve sent you. I’m not always sure who I tell what in my correspondence.
